Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-06-15
These Terms govern your use of Styka, the AI website generator operated by Styka ("Styka," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use Styka.
1. Who can use Styka
You must be at least 18 years old. If you're using Styka on behalf of a business, you confirm you're authorized to bind that business to these Terms. Styka is for websites for businesses you own, operate, or are authorized to represent. If you're building a site for a client, employer, or any business that isn't your own, you confirm you have that business's permission to create, edit, publish, and manage its site, and you're responsible for keeping that authorization current.
2. What Styka does
You provide a Google Maps link or business name. Styka uses Google's Places API to fetch publicly available business information (name, address, photos, reviews, hours) and uses AI to generate a website from that data. You can edit the generated content, change colors and fonts, swap photos, and connect a custom domain.
How we handle your Google reviews. Styka builds your reviews section from the public Google reviews on the business listing you select. When an individual-review section is shown, it may display selected review excerpts with the reviewer's public name, star rating, recency, and verbatim review text, alongside Google attribution and a link to read the full, current review set on Google. Depending on your settings, Styka may instead show an AI-written summary of the themes customers mention, without individual review text or names. Code-gen pages don't render reviewer profile photos; some standard templates may show profile-photo avatars when Google or a review provider supplies them. Your aggregate rating is fetched when you generate, regenerate, or refresh, and may be shown with a fetched/refreshed date. Full technical details are at styka.ai/compliance.
Generated content is created automatically by AI and may contain inaccuracies, awkward phrasing, or details we couldn't verify. You're responsible for reviewing and editing the generated site before using it commercially. The Service may generate similar or identical content for other Styka users with overlapping business categories; you don't get an exclusive license to any specific phrase or composition the AI happens to produce.
Styka is a software product, not a professional services engagement. Don't rely on it for legal, medical, financial, or other regulated advice. We make no guarantees about specific business outcomes from using the generated site.
3. Your account
You can sign in with Google or with email magic-link. You're responsible for keeping access to your inbox/Google account secure. We'll never ask for your password — Styka doesn't store passwords. Notify us at support@styka.ai immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Your content
Your business data: The business name, address, photos, hours, reviews, and other information surfaced from Google's Places API are public-record data. Styka processes this data to generate your site. You confirm you have the right to display this information about your business.
Generated sites: The AI-generated copy and design choices on your site are yours to use, modify, and publish. You grant Styka a non-exclusive license to host, render, and serve the site while your account is active.
Edits: Anything you type into the editor (custom text, uploaded photos, etc.) is yours. Styka generates your initial site only from public business listing data for the selected business, but edits you make are published as-is — we don't re-verify edited content, so you're responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of anything you add or change. Don't upload content that infringes someone else's rights, contains malware, or violates the law.
Agency and client work. Paid plans (including Agency) may be used to build multiple websites for different businesses — but only for businesses that have authorized you to act for them. You're responsible for obtaining and keeping any permissions, approvals, licenses, and client sign-offs needed for the business information, photos, reviews, trademarks, and domains used on each site.
Business authorization. Each time you generate, edit, publish, export, or connect a domain for a site, you represent and warrant that you are the business's owner or operator, or an agent authorized by them. You also confirm that publishing the site won't impersonate another business, mislead visitors about your relationship to that business, or infringe anyone's intellectual-property or publicity rights.
Third-party data. Styka draws on publicly available third-party data, including Google Maps listings, reviews, ratings, and photos. You're responsible for ensuring your use of that data on your site is lawful and permitted, and for complying with any terms the source platform applies to it. Platforms can change their data, access, or terms at any time; we're not responsible for resulting gaps or changes. No third-party data, review, photo, trademark, or platform content becomes yours merely because it appears in a generated site.
AI training. We don't use your content or your uploaded photos to train foundation AI models. AI generation requests are processed by our LLM provider under their commercial API terms, which exclude customer API content from being used to train shared models. We use aggregated, de-identified telemetry (e.g., generation success rates, latency, error categories) to improve the product — never the content of your edits or photos.
5. Acceptable use
Don't:
- Generate, publish, export, or connect a domain for a business unless you own or operate it, or are authorized by its owner to do that work
- Misrepresent your identity, authority, or your relationship to any business or its Google listing
- Scrape, abuse, or rate-limit-bypass our APIs
- Upload illegal, infringing, abusive, or malicious content
- Use Styka to spam, phish, or impersonate others
- Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract our prompts, models, or non-public infrastructure
- Resell access to Styka without a written agreement with us
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
6. Third-party services and Google Maps Platform
Styka relies on a small set of third-party infrastructure providers. When you use Styka, your data may pass through these providers under their respective data-processing terms. Current sub-processors include:
- Google — OAuth sign-in, Maps Platform / Places API (source business listing data)
- Anthropic — large language model for AI generation (commercial API tier, customer data excluded from training)
- Amazon Web Services — S3 for photo storage (us-east-2)
- Railway — application and database hosting
- Stripe — payment processing for paid plans
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- A third-party review-data provider — extended Google review data
Google Maps Platform. Generation pulls data from Google Maps Platform (reviews, ratings, photos, business details) under Google's Maps Platform Terms of Service. Where your site shows Google Maps data, it carries the appropriate Google attribution and links back to Google, and you agree not to remove or obscure that attribution. You're responsible for ensuring your use of Google-sourced data on your published site complies with Google's terms (see /compliance for details).
Outages or changes at any provider may affect Styka's availability — we're not liable for issues caused by their systems. The sub-processor list above is current as of the "Last updated" date at the top of this page; we may add or replace providers, and we'll keep this list current. Material additions affecting personal data will be reflected here.
Not affiliated with Google. Styka isn't affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google. Google and Google Maps are trademarks of Google LLC.
Internal demo drafts. We may create private, unpublished demo drafts for prospective customers from publicly available business information, for review and outreach only. We don't publish a demo, connect a custom domain, or claim a business approved it unless its owner or an authorized agent claims or approves the site. If you receive a demo link for a business you're not authorized to represent, don't publish or use it — contact us and we'll remove or restrict it.
Disputes and takedowns. If a business owner, platform, reviewer, or rights-holder disputes your authorization to build a site or disputes content on it, we may unpublish, restrict, transfer, or remove that site while we look into it.
7. Pricing & cancellation
The Free tier lets you generate one site with the basics. Paid tiers unlock additional features (custom domains, more sites, priority support). Pricing is shown on our pricing page; we may change it with at least 30 days' notice for active subscriptions.
Cancellation & the 30-day grace period. You can cancel anytime from your billing settings. After cancellation, your sites stay live at their URLs in read-only mode for 30 days — meaning visitors can still see them, but you can't edit content, swap photos, or change settings until you reactivate.
During the grace period we'll email you twice as reminders:
- Around day 25 — a friendly heads-up that 5 days remain
- Around day 28 — a final notice that 2 days remain
What happens at day 30. If you don't reactivate, we permanently delete your sites, the photos we copied to our storage, your custom domain bindings, and your account record. After day 30, none of this is recoverable — you'd need to start a new account from scratch.
Reactivation. You can reactivate any time before day 30 from your billing settings to restore full edit access. For paid subscriptions, cancellation is processed through Stripe with cancel at period end — you keep paid access through the current billing cycle, and the grace period begins after.
Export before you cancel. Before deletion, you can download each site as standalone HTML from the site editor (Pro and Agency tiers). Exports include all photos and remain fully functional offline or hosted anywhere.
Refunds. We don't offer pro-rated refunds for partial months, but we'll work with you on edge cases — email us at support@styka.ai.
8. Termination
You can stop using Styka at any time. We can terminate or suspend your access if you violate these Terms, attempt to defraud us, or pose a security risk. Sections that should reasonably survive termination (your indemnification, our liability limits, governing law) do.
9. No warranties
Styka is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate or fit for any specific purpose. We make no warranty that using a Styka-generated site will increase your business, traffic, or revenue.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Styka's total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or USD $100, whichever is greater. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits or lost data — even if we've been told they're possible.
11. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify Styka against claims, damages, losses, and costs, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or related to: your use of the Service; sites you generate, edit, publish, export, or manage; your domains or client work; your lack of authority to act for a business; allegations of impersonation, false endorsement, defamation, or violations of privacy, publicity, trademark, copyright, or other rights; or your misuse of Google Maps, review, photo, or other third-party data.
12. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Disputes will be resolved in state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to that venue. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking injunctive relief in any competent jurisdiction.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. For material changes, we'll notify active users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
